Linking up today with Bonnie on Photo Art Friday
my one word for this year is 'Begin'
I used two textures Bonnie's texture 'Brown Rice Paper' and Marta Van Eck's peeling paint. And, a coffee stain by Coffee Shop.
I'm also linking with Kat Sloma for her Photo Heart Connection for December. It's interesting that the photo I chose was a still life and I discovered that I really love setting up my props and trying to convey a feeling through my photograph. The photo below sums up December for me, warmth, comfort and peace. I also love finding just the right quote to convey that feeling.

Love your composed still lifes - just beautiful, Viv. I often have to prompt myself by using your word - such a good one.
ReplyDeleteAnd the message is clear. Great job.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Viv
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely, Viv!
ReplyDeleteI also love to set up my photos, and you do it so well Viv. I like your word and the way you presented it. Hope it serves you well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you found this little bit of fun, setting up a still life and finding the perfect quote to go with it! Your December Photo-Heart connection is beautiful, and I love the message of the quote. Yes, let's LIVE every day of our lives. Thank you for joining in Viv!
ReplyDeleteLove your one word! I've postponed to much last year. Yesterday I've signed in for the "Winter" Big Picture Classes of Tracey Clark, so I think it will be my word also for 2013.
ReplyDeleteYour composed still life is as beautiful as the quote.
Wow, I really, really like both of these! They are beautiful! Good word for the year too!
ReplyDeletebeautiful images and processing - setting up still lifes can be time consuming, but the reward is so great! beautiful work & vision. visiting from PAF
ReplyDeleteThese are both such lovely images! The quote is a good reminder for all of us.
ReplyDeleteBegin, such a good word and one that I could have used last year because it is just what I need to do...begin..something...anything. I choose Create which did the trick! Love your still life, it is something I want to try this year. Visiting from PHC
ReplyDeleteYou are excellent at your still lives. Always engaging and oh so interesting.
ReplyDeleteTwo pretty images with comfort and home moods to them. They came out beautifully. I think still life is a place I could use work. I almost always shoot outdoors and I shoot what I find how and where I find it. I almost never move anything other than myself to get a different angle. I will have to give what you do a try. Obviously the results are super fab. Have a great day.
ReplyDeletethese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe little still lives communicate comfort and simplicity with some texture too. love the "begin by doing something." Perfect.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful images - and they really do evoke a feeling of warmth.
ReplyDeleteYour first image is simple ~ yet says so much.
ReplyDeleteYour second imgage is soft and dear.
And your blog (I've taken a 'tour') is lovely. You are quite talented!
Love these photos and love your word. "Begin" is a terrific way to begin 2013.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your images are beautiful, but the last one touches me! So lovely!
ReplyDeleteBegin is such an important word, and one to remember when we get "stuck" which can happen when we get overloaded with the planning process. great photo and love your edit !
